AMARAH
AMARAH is a genre-defying producer and multi-instrumentalist whose sound fuses the grit of vintage soul with the edge of modern beat culture. Drawing inspiration from legends like J Dilla, Madlib, Inflo, Charles Stepney, Curtis Mayfield, Arthur Verocai, and The Meters, his music is a rich tapestry of analog textures, live instrumentation, and emotional storytelling. Amarah's musical scope transcends genres, building his creative core in hip hop/R&B bending creatively in Pop/Alternative.
Hailing from the Netherlands, AMARAH’s musical journey began early—leading his own band The Rhythm Chiefs by the age of 12 and playing shows across Europe through his teenage years, including extensive touring with British blues icon Ian Siegal. His foundation in live performance shaped his unique approach to production: rooted in interplay, groove, and raw, human energy.
After the pandemic, AMARAH began posting beats to BeatStars in 2022, catching the attention of forward-thinking artists and producers in Los Angeles. What followed was a steady rise—collaborating with the likes of Monte Booker, Kenny Beats, Groove, Coop The Truth, and working closely with artists including Smino, Duckwrth, GoldLink, Reggie, EARTHGANG, JID, and Ambré. His sessions are known for their warmth, spontaneity, and musical depth—often blending soul, funk, psych, and hip-hop with cinematic flair.
Now stepping into his own as a solo artist, AMARAH is preparing to release a new project where he takes center stage—not just as a producer, but as a vocalist and songwriter. His mission is simple: to create future music with the soul and musicianship of the past.
